It was very good. Tobias Hodgson is a really good songwriter - crafted lyrics and lovely melodic touches. Alex Wynn was entertaining. Everyone got to sing happy birthday to Patrick Gosling.

Yea I enjoyed it too he's a very good experienced musician.
If you like exploring new bands then the Bunker is ideal. Its a very small venue who will put on 3 bands on Friday or Saturday nights (finishes around 10). You never know what you will get and I have seen some very random things there. The Isis will have some good bands on occasionally (check out the Independent for listings there and the Isis)
For cover bands then the Peacock is a good bet after a match.
Best thing is to check out the listings on this thread

We don’t really have any “rock” bars as such, but Diego’s is a cracking little place, the music played in there is always on the rock/indie side of things. Nirvana, grunge etc

Not sure how much traction that’ll get outside the city, but as someone from here it’s class. I was just having a conversation today about how we don’t shout about what we have or have achieved enough. It’s nice to see someone try & capture something with a proud heart.
