Why would they, the rivalry is dead. We are as far from them as Hartlepool or Darlington are from us. Would you be on to your Hartlepool mates giving it the big un if we won the league Cup.

That’s absolutely not true and it was evident when we played them in the cup
 
Everton, Man City pre 2008, Numerous London Clubs etc all have fans who support a club that has/had trophy winning rivals.

Like you say, you crack on and support your team. We still have our history, and we still have a season to finish

Remembering of course that NUFC have got nothing to with the Saudi state.

Richard Masters has written guarantees to that effect and it was the only reason the deal went through in the first place.

For clarification talking about the genuine nufc the ones who celebrate their goals in the same way I celebrate Sunderland scoring. Not the plastic ones who a second after a win are giving it the big un on Facebook or WhatsApp to any Sunderland supporters. I am lucky as working with Newcastle lot who won't give it unless prepared to receive it and had nothing today, years ago the banter would have been back and fro. Nothing today, sad really. Yes I think the real rivalry has gone. If we ended up non-league, still be mags, with their mackems in Milan flags but that says more about their petty lives.

So the point was raised about not having mags gloating so I can only imagine must be the genuine lot not the never been to a game, council house in Crook ones who won't have red sauce but never been to a game. Unfortunately like cockroaches they get everywhere.

Your time will come, lose this belief, hope, dream or whatever you want to call it then maybe time to get off the ride.

I will hate those bike riding, piss stained, dairylea, horseshoe fence painting bazzas until my last breath. Whether they win a cup or lose nothing changes.

Took a call today from a reliable source and could be some interesting weeks and months ahead for us.
Could this be it? Could this be the time we finally rid our club of the criminals and chancers that have help it back for over 10 years now?

That day would be as big as winning a trophy. Just hoping 🙏
 
Every time they got close to winning something I got panicky as I was convinced it was going to be hell.
It happened and I'm truly meh, surprised myself how little it has actually bothered me.
Totally relaxed now by any other blood soaked success they may achieve, it's just a game after all.
Tomorrow morning and it is yesterdays news and forgotten nationally.
