Tommy Watson ( ...off to Brighton)

He's young talented and has potential. But we need players that are more of the finished article at the moment. It's always sad to have to part with a good player but Brighton are a Premier League club in a very nice part of the world that's thick with other Premier League clubs so he is hardly being dumped without a thought for his future. I am sure he will do very well there and if he does there's plenty of big clubs down there who will be keeping an eye on him.

He was down there for talks in January and didn't want to go but was forced by Sunderland.
So Sunderland - on deadline day - forced a young player to attempt to be transferred out of the club, with no incoming players on the horizon, and no time to replace should he go? And we insisted this happen on deadline day?

Exactly that mate, he was down there before deadline day though.

Bar a decent first 45 mins at Bramall Lane he hasn't shown yet that's he's ready for first team Championship football, needs another season to develop imo but Brighton know what they're doing.
