How come it's taken weeks to sort out thoughThey had to shut the bogs again a couple weeks ago because somebody smeared shite all over the walls in the gents and the ladies. Cleaner showed me the photos![]()
The fact (on Wednesday when I was travelling at least anyway) the city's Main station has nee bogs is ridiculous like. It’s a f***ing horrible station mind.
It'll be the smack heads. Heard some f***ing awful stories from shop owners of what they have found in the morning when opening up. Human shit in their doorways and that. They had to shut the bogs again a couple weeks ago because somebody smeared shite all over the walls in the gents and the ladies. Cleaner showed me the photos![]()

Appreciate theres been 'incidents' - but I've never actually seen them open!
Not seen the escalator working and often the lift not operating. More than once I’ve helped people carry bags etc down the steps as it would have been almost impossible for people to get down onto platform. The fact (on Wednesday when I was travelling at least anyway) the city's Main station has nee bogs is ridiculous like.

A TP service from Newcastle to Manchester or Liverpool making a few stops along the coast line in Sunderland, Hartlepool & somewhere else round Teesside like Stockton or Eaglescliffe would be perfect.Being honest there’s not much they can do with the current footfall. The single biggest improvement would be more trains in/out of Sunderland. I don’t know the practicalities but would love a service to Durham and other stations, perhaps further afield. The current services in/out of Sunderland are quite frankly embarrassing.
The should be barred unless using the station to travelI was on the 15.30 GC service the other week and not only were the bogs shut but the amount of scumbags hanging around was the station was ridiculous. I genuinely felt sorry for the staff.
That’s the sort of thing I’m thinking. I know you can get the GC to eaglescliffe, York and Hartlepool. But I’d imagine trains across to the north west would be popular, and to Brum etc. I can’t see how the station improves without more services. More of the NE travel budget should be spent increasing services to Sunderland.A TP service from Newcastle to Manchester or Liverpool making a few stops along the coast line in Sunderland, Hartlepool & somewhere else round Teesside like Stockton or Eaglescliffe would be perfect.
Absolute common sense. Northumbria police should hang there head in shame at the attention/presence they have in the city centre. The should be barred unless using the station to travel
I've got the image of West Side Story in my head.I did last week. I was expecting The Warriors to come hurtling down the stairs chased by the Gramercy Riffs.
They're open now. The regular cleaners refused to do it so they got somebody else in. The walls were plated with cack like, wish I hadn't looked at the pics, nearly brought my breakfast up. There's some contemptible scum out there. How come it's taken weeks to sort out thoughstill closed
The reason why Cambridge station is so far outside the city centre is that when the railways were being built in mid 19th C the university did not want its students having easy access to all the fleshpots in Old London Town (only an hour into Kings Cross), so they insisted the station was built away from all the colleges which are in the centre of town. As the University owned most of central Cambridge (and still does) they could easily refuse any development on their land. The likes of Bristol and Cambridge are a lot further out of the centre than monkwearmouth is too.
All pie in the sky stuff mind…
