Patto

It would probably be a foul with VAR. However I still think he should have done better. Once the cross came in he was floundering. I he had decided to punch early and been decisive I think he gets that clear.
I think in general the criticism of him is very unfair but he is obviously making errors at the moment and lacking confidence. He gets blamed for every goal - the Plymouth last minute goal and the first at Leeds were in no way his fault but he has cost us recently. I just hope he gets back to his form of a few weeks ago when he was playing very well imo.

It's definitely a foul but it's also very weak goalkeeping by Patto. From our angle it looked like he flapped at it and looked like it was going to get past him anyway, but the striker did elbow his arms and it should've been disallowed.

His weaknesses are getting exploited more often now as most teams have caught on that him bulking up hasn't made him in any way more physical and better at commanding his box.

The save in the second half was absolutely brilliant though and whilst nothing ever makes up for a mistake leading to a goal, that is as close as you'll get to it.

There’s such a lack of command of his box which I think teams are now targeting.

Olsen just came out to his 18 yard line in the villa game to punch the ball clear. Can you even imagine Patto doing that?
