Milan Aleksic - Confirmed

Milwall and Watford cost him dearly scores them two RLB can’t drop him tbh

We paid - heavy chunk in the summer speakman doesn’t let him not have him involved next season unless we recoup %75 of the fee

It's looking like Aleksic was bought without Regis having much say about it.

It's a shame as he looks energetic, quick, and direct, but if the likes of Browne gets picked to go straight in after a lengthy injury, and now even Jones out of the U23's gets the nod ahead of him, then I just don't see where Regis gives this lad an opportunity.

Absolutly ridiculous some people man it’s his first season at this standard of football ffs let him get upto speed and build a bit muscle settle in people on here just dying to make something out of nothing the lad will know exactly they the plan was bedding him in etc

Get up to speed by sitting on the bench? He's not even playing in the U23's and a lad for the U23's has came on tonight ahead of him. He's so far down the pecking order, that the only speed he's going is backwards.

Up to speed ffs! 😆

on about getting to know his teammates settling in a foreign country adapting to a different league and prob more than anything getting a years worth of work in the gym done rather than been tossed straight in the deep end and getting slaughtered by the knackers on here after a few games he’s come from a farmers league ffs

Said it before but I’m not sure what more he has to do. People gave him stick for his misses v Millwall and Watford but it can’t be easy barely getting a kick then being expected to score those chances.

Took his goal well against Stoke and has shown good touches when he’s played.

I really think there’s a player in there. It really frustrates me that we’re always in 1 goal games so he doesn’t get a chance.

Jones was brought on to make his league debut and rewarded for the performances for the U21s. Probably won't see him again now so not to concerned that Aleksic didn't come one as the game was in the balance and couldn't really take off Jobe or Neil earlier for him

You're talking like he's 5'2 and skinny as f#ck, when he's much bigger and suited to men's football than Jones who came on 😆

I forget who it was on here who said that fans had been talking to Aleksic and his English is very good, which it probably is, its not like he's come from South America.

The fact is, everytime the lad had came on he's made a positive impact, he should actually have a few more goals to his name, but at least he's shown he can get in those positions to create opportunities for himself in the limited time he's been on the pitch.

I think there's similarities with him and Adil and we all know how his Sunderland career ended.

He definitely couldn’t speak it at the start of the season. Our lasses best mate is his player sponsor (and Moore’s) and our lass was a guest at the sponsors dinner.

She’s a kind soul so ended up having a 15 minute conversation through Google translate with him.

Not what others have said on here mind, but
If thats the case, then let's hope he gets more help than the likes Rusyn, Benntte, and a few others who weren't fluent in English. Not playing and not being integrated will be poor for his progression.

I just don't think Regis is a fan for whatever reason tbh.

He’ll have been getting English lessons so I’m sure it’s better now than it was, think the dinner was in September.

He's looked good in the limited times he's been called upon, so I don't see his lack of English as something to be worried about. What worries me is that he's not even in the u23's that much, so all he does is train and keep his arse warm on the bench. It won't be good for the lads mentality tbh.

Think he suffers from essentially being the 16th man so to speak. Can't play for the U21s as he's involved with the first team, yet rarely gets a look in off the bench.

Agree though looked lively everytime I've seen him, Missed a few one on ones, but gets in to the position to miss them etc...

Baffles me mate
Looked promising every time I see him.

Good description, and a bit of a dilemma as to how he gets out of being that 16th man. I'd really like to see more from him coming off the bench. He's got that directness and pace that could prove vital in the last 10/20 mins in games.
