Really minor annoyances

Every parking machine having different app. Which you the have to stand there downloading and registering for like a berk.
App based parking meters in areas with no phone reception and no card pay option.
At the risk of the link being a scam.
One parish council in the Lakes just had cheap posters stuck up with a QR code and what looked like a home made website. They didn't even ask the car registration. My wife paid through one then came to me looking sheepish, saying "I think I've just fallen for a scam". As soon as we got back to where I was staying, it was laptop out and check out every detail of the site. It was actually genuine.

I mailed them to say their system looks like a scam, is flawed anyway and pointed them to news articles where scammers had been putting up fake QR codes. They said because it had not happened yet it clearly was not a problem. If I had been staying a few more days, I would have got some fake QR codes printed and start Rick Rolling car park users, just to make a point.

The sheer frustration when you realise you here’s an hour left when you’re three hours into a four hour journey.
Yeah, I travel down to South Wales (and back) quite regularly, and I always fall for the 'nearly home once I get on the A1(M)'.

That last hour or so drags like hell

When people wait until you're just heading out of earshot to start talking to you about something, so that you have to go back and check what they said. It is never important enough to have stopped for.

Extra points if the same person later comments on how long it is taking you to complete the task they've been interrupting

Now I used to be a bit of a grammar policeman on this forum, but through time I gave it up as a bad job.
I still find it annoying when reading posts that don’t read correctly due to some grammatical error, or a spelling mistake, again I’ve learned to live with it, but the one bad practice that is in danger of becoming universally accepted as correct/normal is the misuse of your and you’re.
It boils my blood.

People waiting at the petrol station for a pump on their side even though the hoses are long enough to go round the car and blocking the entrance so no one else can get in.
There’s a supermarket one I use that’s always pretty busy but you get people hanging back 20m from the pumps trying to nab the next one that comes free. Problem is this starts a queue that once it’s more than 3 or 4 cars it spills back onto the main road creating a traffic jam there. If I see this happening I’ll overtake the queue and pick a row and pull in directly behind the cars using the pumps. Dunno if I’m a tw*t for doing it but it nearly always sparks the rest of the queue into life and they’ll head for the pumps rather that sit backing traffic up.

It's of/have for me. I genuinely cannot grasp why folk can't sort that out...

They was/I were also 'he's took' (as opposed to 'taken' etc.) Usually in speech on tv interviews. The 'took' wrong tense thing is normally a NE thing tbf.

I may not have explained that properly but I'm sure those who are bothered by such things will know what is ever so slightly irking me.

I'm no intellectual giant but... well if I spot it...
