T20 Blast 2025

Another season of shite performances in a ground that’s dropping to bits with million pound pints!! Somehow I keep coming back though….
Last year wasnt as bad as the previous two, at least made the quarter finals, Do you think its dropping to bits i think the ground looks in good nick, and sadly my local is a greene king pub its £6.20 for a madri so its cheaper for me drink at the riverside

Bought my T20 season ticket a fortnight ago. DCCC emailed me the receipt immediately , but I still await the actual season card to add to my iPhone wallet.
Anyone got their 2025 season card yet?

The blast only one may take a while. Last season new full membership cards didn't come through till second home match of the season

Got the bairn a ticket for the opening game. Anyone know what time it's likely to be? Still showing 00:00. Hopefully no clash with any kids cricket on the Sunday

Yeah this is a good point. As it stands the league means nothing. It’s not like the championship where losing means relegation
Not sure how much people care about promotion and relegation though. It hasn’t allowed a hierarchy to develop in the first class game in the way that it does in football. I think something more drastic was needed 5 to 10 years ago to move it closer to the model of what seems to work better elsewhere to revamp effectively.

And unfortunately for the Blast, English cricket chose a different route of supplementing it with a new top tier regional franchise competition. This is the model Welsh rugby followed. Welsh rugby is on the bones of its arse these days. With no one really bothering to watch the obviously second tier club stuff any more, but with the public not really that bought into the regional franchises either.

I agree with you and I think the problem is also down to how the grounds decide to present the matches. Durham for example has a record of irritating white ball fans and not really hitting the mark at bringing in new support. The clown on the mic is often very unprofessional and the music between overs soon becomes repetitive.

If its anything like some of the Membership season cards for last season you'll probably get it for the third game.:(
