Chris Rigg

A majority on here seem to want him dropped at the moment. Needs another year with us whatever league we are in.
Been said more than a few times but he’s going through a very similar process to Jobe last year. Let’s hope he kicks in at the same improvement rate that Jobe did this season. Will be a massive player for us next season and yes, I think he will still be here.

Yeah but last season there was noone to replace jobe with.

This year there is. You can still make the leap forward if you're on the bench. Or even coming on for last half hour

I dont disagree mate. My comment was that his performances have dropped in the same way jobes did. Should Jobe have been rested, yes but as you say, there wasn’t really any remotely suitable replacements and for Rigg, there is.

He isn’t tearing the championship up at the minute.

His level has dropped massively from the start of the season which is to be expected given his age

I think he could do with a rest and to come back all guns blazing for the back end of the season
I think when mundle is back properly Le Fee will be in the middle and Rigg rested

The season was over really early last season too, we were never going up or troubling the play offs very early so the fact Jobe was being carried didn't matter as much. Not only are there plenty of alternatives to Rigg this season but it's play offs minimum regardless of what happens tonight, so much more difficult to justify playing a player just for experience when performances don't warrant a place in the side.

We have options but only when mundle and watson back imo.

Browne was looking a bit ropey before he got injured and aint played for months so he aint ready at moment.

On saying that I feel a bit sorry for rigg cos he looks a bit lost in this team.

Once Mundle is fit you'd have to imagine Le Fee takes Riggs spot and Mundle out onto the wing.

I think that could take us up a level to be honest like. Especially if we let le fee operate the left of the midfield three him and Mundle could cause absolute havoc

Similar to diallo and Roberts

Don't think a lot of posters understand La Bris tactics . Rigg suits his tactics as he gives his all . Adds a lot of energy on the press ,watch the game closely and you will see him putting runs in and closing down . Makes it difficult for defenders. Also like the way La Bris has his fullbacks narrow add resilience to the defence . High risk yes ,but works 99% of the time.

Don’t think you are watching the same games at the minute mate if you think rigg is bringing a lot of energy to the press and closing down

He’s literally jogging about tonight. He needs taking out of the team for how own good.

He’s contributed very little for a good while
