Sky Sports TV fixtures - A petition

If anyone feels strongly enough about this years TV deal and the impact it's had on match day attendances (not the number announced, the actual amount of people in the ground) then please feel free to sign and share.
Premier league will just be as bad next year as that number is massively increasing..

As much as I think it's awful , sky and the EFL don't care

It's a difficult one, but I'd much rather get behind a campaign for the removal of the outdated blackout. By now pretty much everyone who wants to watch a match, and who will prioritise that over attending a local game, is already doing so via firestick, or going to a pub that's showing it etc. The younger generation will be even more comfortable with it so I suspect usage is only going to go one way, just as it did with the music industry.

It's about time they scrapped the blackout but agreed a fair compensation from what would be increased tv rights to filter down the pyramid. Let them show every team, every week so that people can watch their club wherever they're based, but let the vast majority of games kick off at 3pm on a Saturday. At the very least they should trial it to see what impact it has on attendances, I doubt it would be half as pronounced as some seem to think

They don't but I just can't see anybody trying to do anything about it. Everyone is just accepting it.

Signed. Out of our played and confirmed scheduled games we (Leeds) will have had 9 x 3pm kick offs from 34 league games. My travel to home matches is a 6 hour round trip. No thought for the fans at all. Should be a campaign across all clubs to change this bollox of loads of games kicking off at 12.30pm every week.

I think regardless of who you support we can majorily all agree that it's absolute bollocks. Far too many

Here here!

I once had a season ticket for about 15 years. I don't think I ever will again for various reasons, one being kick off times. The Saturday 3pm kick offs are virtually extinct, now even in the championship! The game has been ruined for the match going supporter. VAR as well ruins it for the match going supporter in favour of those watching on TV.

You said you don't have a season ticket and stopped watching football because football promoted Marxism, and had been infiltrated by a college in Germany, didn't you?

:lol::lol:

I don't watch as much UK football due to the woke agenda, kick off times, VAR, ticket prices and a few other reasons. I vote with my feet and my wallet. The Frankfurt School has certainly helped to subvert the West.
f***ing “woke agenda”
Get real.

Get real? It's absolutely endless. Had the BLM kneeling, rainbow balls, rainbow laces, rainbow corner flags, rainbow kits, rainbow crests. It's shoved down our throats at every opportunity. It if was traditional/conservative propaganda, lefties would be in absolute uproar!

I remember the leftist outrage when Di Canio got appointed!

Ive said this all along.....the guy who buys his season ticket because he is available to attend on Saturday afternoon has been well and truely shafted.

People supporting Sunderland travel from long distances or work......Saturday games are now the minority and is a concern for some of our fans. In Premiership we get our fair quota but it seems in EFL cos we are Sunderland , and have good viewing figures, we are been hammered.

Pointless to be fair.

Clubs need as much money as they can get. Sky provide money and move fixtures. It won't change.
Sky are not a charity and do not 'provide money'. They make a profit. Sky's 'money' comes from advertising (which in turn is a result of their viewers who are fans), and subscriptions from fans.

Ultimately all the money comes from fans and some of the fans money goes to make Sky a profit.

The elephant in the room that Sky never mention is that those watching on a fire stick etc are still included in the advertising bit and without those extra viewers Sky's advertising revenue would be considerably lower.
