I agree. I wonder if RLB doesn't trust him with the off the ball stuff. Maybe the advanced midfield position is where he'll get a go.

Aleksic should have started ahead of Samed. This was another game against a team low in confidence and on a poor run, yet we start with a defensive midfielder, sit back, and give them plenty of time with the ball to get comfortabl and find a way back into the game.

Need to be pressing g and putting pressure on those sides, not giving them a leg up!

Whilst I do see the merit of a Samed type player. Today was not the game for it. We needed as you suggested start with a more attack minded midfield.

That's two home games against bottom form clubs Regis starting lineup has been found wanting.

Saying all that though the chat would be diffetent if Wilson or Aleksic had put one of those guilt edge chances away.

I've wanted a DCM for ages so eas happy when we brought Samed in, but like you say there's games where we really need to start on the front foot and not ease up on teams that are on a bad run or are just plain poor. By playing a DCM and sitting back from the off, your just building the opposition's confidence up!

By all means, get 2 or goals up and then bring on Samed to see the game out, but we just seem to be giving sides a head start to get A foothold in the game.
 
Feels like it's very much a Mundle situation with Aleksic. Assuming Rigg and Bellingham go in the summer, he's straight in with hopefully the same impact Romain had..
