Poveda was probably trying too hard today but neither of them looked like they were ever going to create anything.

Pretty much he played one great pass putting someone through.

He was decent when he came on. Caused them problems. A lot of the time the problem was no one was anywhere near him to pass to, so he held on to the ball too long. Definitely needs to just whip the ball in more, though.

Agreed , a bit keen to be too flash but definitely can make things happen . once he gets on a wavelength with others he'll be very decent competition on the right .

That’s one of the main problems playing inverted wingers who want to stand their man up. Double up on them and it’s pretty easy to stop them.

Direct wingers are much more effective at this level.

Sorry like but you can’t say he did nowt wrong. He absolutely did. Worst pass completion of all our midfielders and dispossessed more times than the rest of our midfield combined despite being on the pitch for only half an hour. The most egregious error was the free kick he gave away while we had them on the ropes, giving them another 40 seconds to waste.

He played a couple of decent balls and had one run where he ran around in circles for a bit til he got tackled.
