Sunderland Empire

How was it?

Its on my list of shows I'd like to see.
I enjoyed it, it's a comedy featuring various well known songs. Basically it's Ann Hathaway taking hold of Will's story and she changes it to make it less tragic and mainly to add girl power. it's definitely feel good and I would recommend it.
One thing about the show I went to see. the audience included lots of age group about 25-35 and they were applauding more than I'm used to seeing. It turns out that Will was played by Jay McGuinness who was in The Wanted (I'd never heard of him, he once won Strictly) so that explained the audience reaction which was really positive and refreshing, so that helped me enjoy it more.
I see it was on at the Empire last September

The John Williams gala last night was absolutely superb.

Agreed.

Shame we were in the stalls this time, far too low to appreciate the players. Normally in the dress circle, I think that would have been the place to be for this as you would see far more. At least it was more a hearing thing than a seeing thing.
