Alan Brazil talksport

I don't care what gender is playing, but I want to see the best, the fastest, the strongest, the most skillful play sport...don't ask me why I watch Sunderland then.

In comparison to mens game it’s very true yes.
But that's apparently not what he said.
You said he said NOBODY gives a stuff.

Coverage shouldn't be just reserved for the majority.
So, if more people are interested in premier league than EFL, should the EFL be given no coverage on the basis that 'nobody gives a stuff' ?

The mens game is at the standard it is at due to years of investment and development. The womens game hasn't had that, and as such the standard is a lot less. It needs the investment, it needs the development in order to progress and get to a similar level.

I'll happily watch Sunderland womens, or England womens. Having said that I sold my womens Euro final tickets to watch Sunderland vs Coventry

You have a slight point however the elephant in the room is natural biology and physiology.

Doesn’t matter how much you develop the women’s game women are never going to suddenly gain extra height, muscle mass, strength and fitness.
It’s very a rare that you see any women able to kick a ball with power, where it rockets into the net.
No amount of coaching or money is going to change that.

The literal minded unable to apply common sense again I see.

The EFL gets the coverage it merits, I.e second fiddle to the premier league.

The attendances at some of the bigger clubs says otherwise, same with viewing figures of the major tournaments.

Don’t fall for the hype…..if you do some research you’ll see the BBC especially telling plenty of white lies about the popularity.

When ever free tickets are given away and there’s a 40K crowd….it receives massive publicity
But they never mention that in the previous match when it was £10 there was 5,000 there.

The English league is by far the best supported league in Europe, currently has an average of 7,882.
However there are only 2 teams (Arsenal and Chelsea) are averaging over 10K, most teams in the women’s top flight averages 2 to 3,000 and that with cheap tickets.
Arsenal are currently the best supported team in world football with a current average of 28,119.

In the French, German and Italian leagues average attendances for their women’s top flight are around 2,000.

Womens football is absolutely awful, anyone saying otherwise is simply lying or off their tits
I wouldn’t know I don’t watch it.

Well nobody I know gives a stuff.

Not once have I heard anyone say ‘did you see that women’s match last night’!!!!!

Do you want me to lie just so I can be ‘woke’and ‘right on ✊’.

its all relative. Sunderland mens team to some in league one "were absolutely awful" whilst most of the clubs in there would have loved our squad.
your on the biggest fishing trip in SMB history on this thread and you have caught quite a lot, well played 👏

Think youve got me confused with OP mate

Alan Brazil barely cares about men’s football man. He only sounds anywhere near interested when they are talking about horse racing and meetings he can go and get bladdered at. He seemingly knows next to nothing nor cares about any football outside of the Premier League.
