Craft Beer

Canny few little craft places around Malasaña. There's only one craft brewery in the city though and it's tiny - Fabrica Maravillas. You'll do well to get 10 of you in there like never mind 50. Topper city for bar hopping though.
Just had a look & Malasana is 6min walk from our hotel

Just realised I had a golden dooper can in the garage. No memory of getting it. Will see what the prize is
It was an invite to the tap room for all gold can finders and a goodie bag if it was the same prize when I had one a few year ago. Then got entered into a prize draw.l for 500 quid tap room voucher.

Which I won

So, sorry mate you probably missed this years thing.

I’ve still got my gold unopened can. Will be shite by now

I must have got it just before Christmas so should still be in with a chance. Just no memory of taking it out the box. Will find out tomorrow as I've emailed them

Wylam Lush.

There’s a Two By Two I’ll try next.

Guinness is the only stout. Sad times.
Back amongst the Cask version of Steady in Bridge Vaults yday. It's bloody fantastic!
Had a cask Wear Beer today. Hazy Pale. Wouldn’t mind the keg version as I can’t get away with pales & IPAs on cask. Need to be a bit livelier for me. All about tastes I suppose

Some keg pales/IPAs are better but SRM is easily superior on Cask.

One of my faves is Lush....... lovely.

Having a cask now and still prefer the keg…nobody here agrees with me either.
Suppose there is no right and being with taste sir. For me I thought the keg was okay but the cask I found to be superb. Like one of those that makes you actually think this really is a good pint. Had it in town mouse, bridge hotel and Elder (they had the cask and keg on side by side) so it wasn't as if one place happened to strike lucky.

Am enjoying a few tins of Salt Huck a Back. Very decent mainstream NEIPA from
Tesco. Their Jute is a very canny drink too, £5 a pint in The Stables at Herrington.

fabrica maravillas has sold its soul to Madri and the local brewery that churns that out here. Gone crap. Still brew on site but its balls.
Best places are in Lavapies. San Fernando market and La Canibal on Argumosa

La Canibal brew in East of city and jave a bar, miles out and not worth the hike, but 20 minute walk for me.
