They only consider transfer fees. Wages, infrastructure, loans, academy all come free. The owners must be stealing the Clarke cash even if they are putting 9-10m a year in to balance the books.

I don't but I also don't think we should be running the club from transfer fees.

Mind I personally am happy with Isidor and Aleksic as the signings from the Clarke money.
 
I think some people also genuinely think that if you're promoted from the championship, you instantly get £100 million in the bank....it literally doesn't work like that!!

Similarly when a player is signed for £20m it is very rarely all paid in one go up front
 
Just seen a man utd fan say they were quoted 70m for this lad and Ferguson not that long ago, can't say I've ever seen him play but have seen his name pop up on highlights, be surprised if it happens

Imagine being told just today you're being used as leverage for a transfer to another team 🤣
