Tommy Watson ( ...off to Brighton)

I can imagine these young kids are all mates. This kind of thing can become infectious. We don’t want them to see that the grass is greener. Certainly not to some Mickey Mouse club like Brighton. Granted they are well run and seem to have a really good recent transfer policy but that only makes my alerts go off more.
I did ask you to be specific about how we're missing out and you're just waffling on about local lads and young kids. It seems to me that we're driving a belting deal and asking for a better player to come in the other direction so I don't get the missing out bit.

I like Watson. However, we can't let him run his contract down and if he wants away so be it. A reported 10m for a kid who's played a dozen games is good business if that's what we get for him. He's not even a regular starter and wouldn't have had a look in had Mundle been fit.

But he has had a look in and he has looked brilliant before his injury. Brighton aren’t daft and know that anymore game time will increase his value, getting him for that would be a bargain.

I just think Enzo will be on the left more with Samed dm and then neil and jobe
Le Fee is arguably the best CM in the division. Would be classic Sunderland to just stick him on the wing especially when RLB has said himself the other day he is best in the middle.

I can’t see why he won’t hold out until the end of the season, could be in with promotion and playing games that get us there rather than going somewhere for reserve team football. We’re only talking a few months difference.
Becos he’s gonna wake up tomorrow a millionaire.

He's had 2 very good games, a couple of good games and his other appearances have been meh. If the numbers are true Brighton are paying forward for his future value.
Will see tonight were Enzo plays
I think he will play marra...I predict on the the left

Imagine, and for his sakes I hope it doesn’t happen, but he ends up like Stewart at Southampton.

Sometimes you have to strike when the iron’s hot. We did with RS and it paid off for us for once.

Yup. The two previous big (ish) money departures from us were LND (fee said to be up to £10m) and Jack (up to £20m).

Not withstanding injuries to RS, neither are first-choice at their respective clubs.

Speakman and co (so far) look like they've had both the Saints' and eyes out.

Maybe that will change for Watson, and Albion will end up selling him for £120m to Barcelona in two years. But given the above then for me, for now, I'm trusting 'the process'.
