Tommy Watson ( ...off to Brighton)

I do agree with this but does this mean the owner puts very very little in but if we get promoted sells for a massive profit which all goes into his pocket?
He can do what he wants, he bought the club. Theres always an exit plan. Usually to not lose millions in the process

Out of interest why would he be deft to move to a PL club, on vastly improved wages and every chance he could be part of their first team squad at some point soon?

He stays where he is, signs a new improved contract. (recovers from his current injury). Plays out half a dozen games between now and end of season to help us get promoted 😎

Sets the Premier League alight next season 😀

Next January, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich or Barcelona bidding €100m for him 🤔..... a bit better than signing for frigging Brighton 🙄

We’ve already rejected £12m. Why is it so crazy?
Yep. Fees are more complicated than dans sometimes imagine because there are other factors than who is playing best right now.

I get the sense that because Clarke didnt step up at Spurs, he’s seen as having a ceiling and isn’t considered an elite prospect because if it.

Rigg and Watson have apparently been on the radar of top clubs for years, and haven’t had a chance to “fail” yet.

Rumors of multiple clubs interested at 12m+ suggests many think they can get him for that now, and he’ll be worth far more when he’s 22. Clarke is probably at the peak of his value.

Reckon a lot will depend on if we can get a replacement in today.

You'd have to assume that the replacement will have been playing regularly, is match fit and ready to go. Otherwise, why bother, may as well wait for Mundle/Watson to get match fit.

Absolutely. Mundle isn't realistically going to start the next 5/6 games. If we lost Watson but got a left winger in ready to hit the ground running, it would he a small silver lining.
