For whatever reason, the manager doesn’t rate him & the chances he’s had at premier league (admittedly not a lot), he hasn’t taken.

When I’ve seen him playing for Ipswich on highlights or live games, he doesn’t seem to have that confidence to take on the full back - more than likely because prem full backs are better and deal with better wingers than Clarke.

He’s got 0 goals and only a couple of assists this season, he’s not done well. There’s been some games where he’s played 60 mins+ as well, so let’s not pretend he’s been an unused sub all season.

I love Clarke and want him back here on loan, but let’s not pretend he hasn’t had an opportunity at Ipswich.

It’s a no brainer for him to come back, over 21 games his playing time has amounted to him playing about 6 full games out of position, if you cannot see that then there is no point in having a discussion
 
I’m sure this has been said before, but Clarke coming back simply does not fit the model of buying in order to sell for a profit in the future. It’s unlikely any PL team will take a risk on him again, certainly not for a decent fee, having seen him ‘fail’ twice to establish himself at a higher level.

Be spot on for us for a loan. Exactly what we need right now, he has limited options til summer and is obviously not settled there.

Played his best footy for us and seemed to fit in well. Quick 4 month rehab with us. If he does well and we go up who knows. If not then he can still go back to Ipswich and reassess his options then. He will still get paid well either way, it will help us on the pitch, protect Ipswich's investment by actually getting him to play. Everybody wins.

If we get jack back,with this Liverpool lad,and fingers crossed,another couple,it's well and truly on.
Let Tommy go cash in on him,if he wants out.
Never know how that injury could pan out in the future,look at Stewart!! Best business we have ever done.tommy could be the second.
