Tommy Watson ( ...off to Brighton)

Never get the argument for Watson to stay here. If any, other than Southampton or Ipswich as they're coming down, Premier League team offered me a contract I'd be off in a heart beat.

It's a one in life time opportunity and you might never get it again.
Or stay put and in less than 4 months, find yourself a premier league player next season with the club you’ve grown up supporting, your family and mates support.

I’d argue there’s a significantly higher chance of us being in the PL next season than Southampton or Ipswich.

There's a big if there though and it's more likely we won't be a Premier League team than we will be if we're going down the odds route.

Brighton, will 100% be a Premier League team next season - he's not going to Southampton or Ipswich.

You do??

You'll fit in at the current day Sunderland Echo judging by the above
I don't get paid for writing on a forum, though. Especially not when I'm half asleep. And I work for a national. Not a local. Different thing entirely.

Though, FWIW, I think we've got two very good hard working journalists on the echo in Phil and James that bleed red and white, like me and you. So I'll take the compliment.

Off topic. Ever fancied being an editor? You've got an eye for it.

Stop waffling on

I'm just trying to have a rational conversation. But alas, I see you enjoy the wind-up. Fair enough.
You’re in the wrong place - for the place that despises black and white, every opinion appears to have to align to this view or you’re a wrong’un apparently
