We know that Brighton have been interested before because he's a good player.
For all we know he could be saying he wants to stay and play for the team he supports but the club could be pushing something because they want the money.

After listening to lots of pod casts from ex players on how clubs have treated them on transfer situations I wouldn't be believing anything.

To be slagging one of our young players off who is a lifelong fan of the club based on some knacker from Twitter shows the mentality of some of our 'fans'

There’s tons of interest in players like jobe and Rigg yet they both signed new deals.

Im hoping its all to get the club to offer better terms before the window shuts and he'll sign with great fanfare on Monday

That there has been discussions as recently as today. And with me knowing about Watson offer being accepted. I believe these talks will continue. Clarke can only play for Ipswich or Sunderland this season. The fact he got 3 minutes today too, shows Ipswich don’t really want him.
You could say it’s an educated hope with a hint of a possibility.

The Watson and Dodds things are 100% though.

I dont disagree with that what so ever but he hasnt been telling people he had to start ahead of Mundle etc thats a load of crap
 
At this age he would be making a mistake going anywhere else,
he must have looked at Jack Clarke and thought
"There for the grace of god go I!"

To sign a new improved contract, he wanted assurances. Highly driven by his agency and advisors. That’s all.

It absolutely does like. Been reported players over the years wanting to play in x position to sign a new deal.

Didn't Duran demand more minutes at Villa to sign a new deal.

Absolutely mental if you don't think players get promises when negotiating a new deal going forward.
