Tommy Watson ( ...off to Brighton)

Completely different.

Clarke had shown he was one of the best players in this league, if not the best, nowhere else to go but try his hand in the best division. Who could blame him, a very good servant for us, played many games and did very well.

Watson is a young lad who has played a few matches, has a bit to do before he gets ahead of himself. Supposedly a fan of the club. If he wants to go for the money, and it's all speculation and I've no idea, then the lad is a massive bell end.

Presumably there are people in the Horden/Easington area who know him and know what he's made of and can comment
Respectfully couldn't disagree more with you.
At his age and stage of development, it would be an excellent move for Watson. A club that has a fantastic reputation for developing youth as well.
Clarke should have given Sunderland one more season. He too would then have achieved a 'Brighton' move.
He was dreadfully advised by Harte.

Incredibly frustrating. One of our own too. Modern day football is the pits.

He will be shipped out on loan to all and sundry like Chelsea’s youngun’s and Clarke at Spurs.

The only reason it’s excellent is for his bank balance … his development path will be no different to sticking with us

Don't think so. He's very very good already and that's why we should command a huge transfer fee for him.

I’d rather keep him as he looks a really good young talent. But can see why we’d sell if the offer is exceptional.

Some comments in here slating the lad already, dear me. If a PL club comes in for any of our players we’re always going to be vulnerable to losing them when we’re in the Championship.
I want our team full of SAFC fans and lads but only if they wan to be here. Patto, Neil, Rigg, Watson, etc. I'd love to build a team around these lads but if and it is and IF at present, they don't want to play for us then crack on and let's get the best deal. It's a different way of thinking of how i am as a fan but this is football and big money involved. Seems a a bad career decision to me as he won't be playing there and he knows this place inside out. Crack on mind. Look how much Wilson wants to be here . That's the characters and players i want here. Seems a decent kid mind. Sunderland lad. Good luck . The club might be more open as it's total profit as a home grown lad. We better get some decent coin for the lad mind as I think he will go far (I really think this is a bad decision regarding playing time mind. Canny wages move only for him ) Ha Way Tommy Throw the pen away and tell them to feck off man! You have years to gan in the game

My argument for why Clarke to Ipswich was stupid. He jumped too soon and therfore to the wrong club.
Watson to Brighton is very different.

The lad on twitter who got mundle and Brownes injuries right and said Wilson was being made permanent reckons Watson is off.

Also made a cryptic tweet about Clarke
The got Rigg’s ankle injury wrong tbf.

But has got a lot right in the past so obviously had a source.

If Watson goes permanently, we need back up.
