I get what you are saying but if he wants away then in his shoes why should he sign that. The fact is the club would sack him off in a heartbeat if he wasn’t good enough.If he's a decent lad, he'll sign a new contract with an agreement he can go for a release clause fee (equivalent to any current best offer, if there is one) if we don't get promoted (the release clause increases if he performs to the end of the season and he scores goals). If we are promoted then he can stay and be rewarded with a suitably enhanced contract, if he's earned it

I don’t think they were ever coming in with 2m. I know they will want a good deal but they are not daft£10m is some jump from £2m like.
