Sunderland music thread

It was bizarre

On a side note - i picked up a copy of Gan On magazine and read it this morning, not sure if it's the first edition of it, not seen it before. It's from December and says that it's monthly so I'll look out for a more up to date edition

It's basically just all about the Sunderland music scene, interviews, reviews, gig listings etc... it's nicely put together, not too big , and quite funny in places.

Already noted a few bands down from there that I'll check out

Doesn’t look like the website has been updated for a while

It's good read I picked up a copy of it in the Ivy House in November.

@Kingdom Bhoy dont suppose you’d recommend me anything coming up in Sunderland, I’m of the field music type of era, so something along those tastes.

I really lost touch with new music having worked abroad, but trying to get to more live music and events and not just sat in pub.

I would highly recommend the Voyd at the Independent next month and Lucas Renney playing the the Songs of Praise album at Pop Recs in May.

Both will sell out soon so you need to be quick bud

Both music city and Frankie's Instagram posted a pic of Mick jagger in red and white trousers today. Is that a hint or a wind up?

Don’t tease me

Anybody know if the Stones are due to do anything in the summer?
Honestly, have a look on the music city Instagram. It might just be a tease but don't know why both music city and Frankie would post it at the same time.
