I suspect it enables the company to proudly proclaim they have donated £x to charity and get some sort of tax benefit when none of the money has actually came from them

My daughter took one on a flight, that she picked up in the airport lounge. While we were sitting there the top started to go dome shaped and look like it was going to explode. I told her to open it very carefully and just let a tiny bit of air in first to level the pressure. She didn't heed the careful bit and it was over her, up the cabin walls, everywhere.
This has the double whammy of continuing to annoy the wife. Last spring I pulled some retro computers out the loft that I had picked up over the years, with the intention of getting them working and selling them. All had internal batteries that leaked. And none of them work with modern monitors.
What I wanted was a video scalar unit which can convert old retro signals and display them on a modern monitor. There were loads about in the summer. I promised to sort them out over the next few weeks, waited until the end of the month for pay day. Not one suitable to be found anywhere.
Meanwhile we have a few dismantled old computers dotted about the place and a manky old CRT monitor on that has been on the bedroom floor for months.

Dogs will do that. By the same token, dog poo bags. Firstly, they're gossamer thin therefore a bastard to separate wearing gloves & it's usually windy, whipping them about. Take glove off, recover poo, usually with glove in mouth (never mix that up!) Try to put glove back on with poo bag, dog lead & walking stick (dodgy knee) all to be juggled. As a modicum of success is achieved, glove half on, stick still balanced on forearm, psychotic little maniac you're desperately trying to control decides to launch himself at dog/cat/bird/crisp packet.Went to catch the bus this morning , just one of them stops with a sign post no shelter . Heres a lass picking up her dogs shit bang next to the pole .
Fair enough for picking up but she cant clear the ground fully and who lets their dog shit next to where they know people will be standing

When mine, only a little fella mind, goes into shit waddle/crouch, he's not for shifting. To be fair, imagine what it would be like as you settled yourself into peristalsis & some bugger dragged you off! Not nice...
I get fair warning as mine walks backwards and forwards 8-10 times in a line first.

Agree there. It's stressful enough at bus stops, listening to some whopper threatening to whack their kid if they don't stop crying, a scrote jogging on the spot with one hand down his pants, without dog shit in the equation. That's before you add in that the timetable is purely a rough guide only.

I’ve just synced my new iPhone with the humongous amount of music and audio book I have on my laptop. The Apple Music app (fka iTunes) has mixed up all the album artwork so that my phone and my car ‘infotainment system’ screen shows me the cover of ‘The Cure - Essentials’ whilst it’s playing a track of an album by Roy Orbison etc etc.
It’s extremely off-putting listening to a biography of Winston Churchill whilst being presented with a portrait of Annie Lennox.
I’ve googled and it’s a common problem. It’s annoying.
Also: the term ‘infotainment system’ is a minor annoyance.

"Oh" instead of "zero". It's a number, not a f***ing minor expression of surprise or disappointment. People who ride their brakes, shit drivers the lot of them.
Not walking in single file on busy paths in National Trust sort of places. We go to Cliveden for a walk frequently at this time of year as it has good paths. Often you'll see a group of people heading towards you, sometimes with pushchairs, and/or children and dogs on leads, taking up the whole width of the path and it seems that it doesn't occur to them to walk in single file or even 2 abreast so that other people can get past. Unless this is a Southern phenomenon.
