Listening to podcast today, making the good point of the T20 WC being in India, and maybe Brook might be best kept away from spin. They suggested swapping with Duckett, but could have them both open

Brook defs has a problem against spin, be interesting to see if Bethell, does, he played the quicks well but didnt face much in NZ

Really interesting actually.

Bethell I’d like to see develop in red ball more than anything. Thought it was a shocker of a choice, and he impressed me beyond belief

Im never against Jos opening especially in shortest format. He's still out best t20 batter so should have chance to bat the most balls. This series might be a tad early for Bethells starting berth though.

He was brilliant, he was absolutely unreal against anything short, hook or pull. Which is something you don’t face a lot of in county cricket but you do in test cricket

Another shot in the arm for the selectors

I agree actually I’d keep him away from the white ball a bit

We had chances to win. But ultimately 12 vs 11 leaves a bit of a sour taste.i thought proper subs were in the realms of mickey mouse shite like uae t20. But I guess when the bcci are involved, anything goes.

The more I think about it and the sub, the more I think match officials and umpires should done something to stop it happening.

I know it was not a massive game and just part of another of many series India play but that’s not the point.

Obviously it is mainly down to India been a absolute disagrace.

But whether, India did not do it in the first place or somebody should have stopped it, it simply should never been allowed to happen.
 
Match official was javigal srinath. Bastion of impartiality them Indian lads. Not.

It was not a like for like replacement. Dube is big batting all rounder who bowled 1 over in IPL last time out. The lad they brought in is a seamer who doesn't bat. How is that like for like?

I'm not even saying he was the reason we lost. We let them get too many after good start, then threw away great winning positions when batting. But it's shit like this that will be making lots of people including myself turn away. They are been allowed to ruin our beautiful game. All for a couple of quid. Greedy kernts.
