TEST SERIES :: Pakistan v West Indies

Very happy to see Kashif Ali making his debut for Pakistan, our pro from last season (Willington), lovely lad.
Can he bat? He came in as a nightwatchman today and got an opportunity to make a name for himself tomorrow

got that for my 14th birthday the day before the WC Final in 99. Some reason I really didn't want the Aussies to win , always liked Pakistan and their lasses can look amazing 🤣.

Warrican looks a very intelligent spinner. Reckon he'll has a chance to be their best spinner for years.

I remember that 1999 WC well. Pak should have won it bar the poor showing in final against convicts. Who bats 1st at Lords ffs?

That WC was theirs for taking and did really well until the final. They had a canny overpowered team like. Saw them at Riverside against Scotland iirc. The Pindi express was a sight to behold.

Came in 8/9 for us, looked nothing to write home about but probably couldn’t be arsed! Very laid back character, loved a smoke.

Be kicking ourselves for not getting more bang for our buck if he goes big tomorrow. Then again, he averaged 10 with the ball, not too shabby 😁 We were gutted when he got a call up for the A team half way through the season.

Love this stuff btw. The 80s and 90s were great

Well done Windies! Did what needed to be done today. Wrapped up the test, and levelled the series 1-1.

Hopefully, the PCB will change tact after that result, but I can't see it myself.

Expect more pitches like Multan going forward. They'd rather flip a coin for the Rest than grind them out.

Like @Voice of fair play said, there has to be a happy medium between these dust bowls and the roads of previous years. Hopefully pitches that are inclusive of their fast bowling talent.

You're right, that 1999 WC in England was amazing bar the final.

I love that particular shirt too, it's bright lime green colour reminds me of my all time favourite strip. The Pak 1992 WC strip down under.

Has @brandon gone permanently? Avatar has gone I see
WTAF
Hopefully that’s the end of these horrific pitches.
Ha'way marra, This is the PCB after all. They're worse than our ECB for common sense. I would expect more of the same until someone whitewashes them on these tracks.

Funny isn't it? I enjoyed the away Saffa/Pak series a lot more than this home spinathon borefest. That was a proper test between bat and ball, extreme pace and handy spin. Can't beat it.

I'm all for 'different strokes for different folks' an that but this series was very poor as a spectacle. I hardly watched any live, and wasn't impressed with the few highlights I did watch. Totally missed Nomates getting a first spin hattrick in the 1st innings as well.

Instantly forgettable. Move on to the next cricket.....

Was just watching the highlights of this one and thought the SMB would very much appreciate the celebration that followed the last wicket of Sajid Khan getting out. Pure shithousery

Old fashioned tri series. Saffers there getting in some odi practice ahead of CT. Kiwis looking tasty as always. Philips smashed his 1st ton, took a worldie catch and took wickets.
Aye deffo MoM.

Kiwis looking strong mind. Didn't fire on all cylinders and still looked in control.

More questions than answers for the Paks before the champions trophy.

Where's their batters gone? I look around, and all I see from their line up is average.
