Jack Clarke

Oh good. It’s been 5 minutes since someone spoke about Jack Clarke.

Can we please clear up the loan situation before people repeat themselves for the 100000000000000000 time.
He can ONLY go on loan to us.
He will only go to another club if it’s a permanent deal, so no he’s not going on loan to Leeds.

Have I missed anything ?
I was under the impression he can sign for another club but he can’t play for them until next season.

Wouldn’t have him back. Nothing to do with the fact that he left us, l just dont think we should ever have a player for a second stint.
I'd agree for the most part, but it's usually a player who's at the end of their career. Clarke is still in his prime.

Yes we would be signing him on loan with a buy option if promoted, like we are doing with other players. I can't see Ipswich selling him though, they need his goals in the championship next season.

I would love his goals, we aren't scoring enough from the wings. But Ipswich would be daft to sell him, he'll get them promoted again next season.
They can't sell him (unless it's too us) he's already played for 2 sides this season. Can't play for a 3rd.

This is correct. Doubt many players would want to do that.

Why not? It worked out well for most; McCartney, Borrini…

Only kidding Jonny Evans was class second time around
Pop Robson

Only if McKenna isn't there and he's played in his proper position. Unfortunately his next move will be a rebuild.

Would be worth making the Ippo's a cheeky offer. He's clearly not fancied there and they will be looking to make more signings in this window; they'll not mothball players just in case they get relegated! I wonder what Clarkey would say?

Ipswich have signed 3 players who play left side and also have Broadhead. Clarke might still struggle to get a start if they are relegated!

He probably would struggle to get in ahead of them in all fairness. He was daft to join the same club as Szmodics and Broadhead is popular there, plus a lot more versatile.

He and no doubt his agent were swayed by money. I always said it was a daft footballing move because it's hard to shine when you're getting beat most weeks which always looked like Ipswich's fate.

They’d never loan him back to us they’d look like complete mugs. And we’d never buy him for serious millions so it’s a non starter.

And Ipswich have a realistic chance of staying up.

Not complete mugs, he'd instantly get game time here and a bit of insurance if they did go down and have to sell their better players. It's a very long shot, but you just never know in this funny game!
