Mate. I’ve just seen it on twitter so not the best view but there’s actually 3 Sunderland defenders jump for the ball. It’s about 15 yards out. Also from the ball being crossed to the header is less than 2 seconds. How the fcuk do you think that’s pattisons ball ?

Why on earth Paterson chooses the short pass out to defenders when he has the option of taking proper goal kicks baffles me. Done it a couple of times today, passed to O'Nien, who shat his pants and passed it sideways as usual. Then we get dispossessed and pressure is instantly back on us. School boy stuff at times 😐

Just watched the highlights and can’t see what ball he should’ve came for ??
The cross that got headed on was near the penalty spot and we lost that first contact and let a man at the back post shoot unchallenged with a back 5 and 4 of them centre half’s that were brought on to defend that type of situation

Do u think it’s his idea to play like that ??

Most teams are do it to try and get out and draw attackers in and play round them.

Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t.
Patterson isn’t playing the ball to o nein 5 years away from him because he’s going rogue !!

His obsession with playing with his left foot and spraying balls out of play regularly is fair enough.
