*~*~* Sunderland v Plymouth match thread *~*~*

Terrible game management. Draw fair result. Probably worst performance of the season.
We learnt that all the hype about the French lad is just that hype.
You don’t get the run of the green when dominating games sometimes but this wasn’t one of those.
To many players off their game but not helped by being far to reserved for to much of the game.
It was Plymouth for Christ sake we set up as if playing Leeds
Be surprised if Regggie does not hold his hands up and say he got this one wrong
This sounds like rinse and repeat. Been so many poor performances against poor teams in a poor league. People question why the pundits rarely mention Sunderland as contenders, theres the answer

Somehow, we just failed in all of the basics. I made Hume Man of the Match, mainly, because he was the only player of ours to show the ability to consistently control and pass the ball. So many players had an off day today.

Poor very poor result but thats what can happen and hopefully we can learn from this cos you only get so many chances in this league to actually get in that top 2

O dear, what you take from today's performance, is that Patterson was at fault!
What about the manager starting 11 and formation, what about the 10 outfield players strolling around!

FFS
Today didnt make me think he was shite. I always have done. Today was just another in a long line of him showing no arsehole when it comes to commanding his box when the pressure is on.

Shocking defending and negative play against the worst team in the League
Utter dross because that team playing like that will never get promoted in a million years

Why?

The lineup and the set up was questionable.
Performance was mostly abject.

The subs and defensive nature at the end contributed to losing points.

Bring defensive players on and invite pressure and then still fail to stop crosses or deal with high balls into the box.

Any criticism today has been brought on by selection and in game subs and tactics.
Zero width by the end. 4 cbs, a rb 4cms and a cf. Le fee was innocuous second half and looked out on his feet yet stayed on
