Le Fée’s debut performance


I’d leave him out wide for a couple of games mesel until he gets fitter and/or more used to Championship football. Stick Mayenda on for Roberts anarl. Both wad make opposition FBs a bit more wary about joining in attacks.
 
He’s a superb footballer. By far the best player on the pitch last night until he tired.

Once he’s fully up to speed he’ll be brilliant for us. I would prefer seeing him centrally going forward, especially when Mundle and Watson are back.

He oozed class, some saying put him in the middle of the park, but i think him and Cirkin can be a massive threat down the left flank for us against teams that don't defend as much as Burnley especially.
Obviously when Munde returns, and then Tommy Watson it gives us more options.
When they're all available we will have around 9/10 genuine quality players (at this level) for the 5 midfield places, that is some competition for places.

Bellingham, Rigg, Le Fee, Browne.
Roberts, Mundle, Watson, Poveda.
Aleksic, Aouchiche.

He wasn't one of the 9/10 ;)

I agree, when he arrived he was in a very similar position to Connolly in that he looked like he had talent but with a lot to prove, why he was given a 3 year contract to Connoly's 1 year is a mystery.
If he had only been given 1 year, like Connolly he would probably be on his way this January.
 
Looked great, exceeded my expectations of what I thought I’d see in his 1st game.

We need to get him more centrally though, and specially in 433, I would rather Rigg was wide than him.

You do if it makes your team stronger as a whole.

If we have nobody else who can play on the left wing, then dropping Rigg and playing Le Fée through the middle, wouldn’t be as strong as having a player of Riggs quality in the centre and Le Fée on the left.

I know it’s not always that simple, as we have Aouchiche as an option on the left, but I think k would rather play Rigg in the middle and Le Fée out of position, than bench Rigg for Aouchiche and playing le Fée through the middle.

It’s a different situation when we have Watson fit though.
 
6 as a debut. He tired massively and Rigg should have played 90. Is RLB blinkered already, he never subs Neil already and we know Jobe’s contract doesn’t allow him being subbed.

Le fee has so much talent but already we’ve played him out of position. I’m not sure the manager has the balls to make the right calls.

Cirkin was a much better player when he had blonde hair. Needs a trip to the stylist - just saying like🫢😎

Enzo speaks perfect English, just a case of getting used to our style of playing and settling in. You can see he’s a class act

You'd be benching Rigg for Enzo, AA out on the left where he has played well recently.

As much as I rate Rigg, he is 17 and already played a lot of games this season, along with just returning from injury. Enzo will tire and hoy Rigg on for 30 mins to make a real impact.

In his first interview he was asking the interviewer to speak slowly. Being able to converse in English and speaking perfect English are two very different things.

Besides which, the language on a football pitch isn’t usually normal English anyway. Most the time it’s simple short words or phrases that may not make sense even if you speak English if you haven’t used them before “overlap!” “Man on!” “Line!” Inside” “squares your ball!”

I don’t get why people are so reluctant to bench Rigg, he’s going to be a top player but he’s been distinctly average for a while now, Enzo is the better player and Rigg can be an impact sub.
