Mayenda discussion thread


Has to play. Him and Isodor are a right threat and defences are shit scared of them. Doing forward both have to start. Rigg comes out of the side
 
Don't think he's being hated but I can see why he isn't the flavour, vfar too many squandered easy chances,
Yes there's a good player and potential to be a good striker but right now he isn't, thing is we need quality right now.

He was excellent last night, only a piece of excellent defending stopped him scoring.

He has missed a few chances but the lads 19 and it's his first full season. Only way he improves is to keep playing and build his confidence.
 
If I was playing against us, Mayenda is the one that would keep me awake at night on current form. He’s a menace at the moment. His press doesn’t get enough attention IMO. He has quite the knack for putting himself in awkward positions for defenders, and he’s stronger than he looks too.

To be fair, Isidor’s press is great too, but mainly because he covers ground so quickly, not necessarily because of his strength.

His cameo last night was decent. Slipped a lovely pass through to Isidor for a shot and then only for a great piece of defending with a last second block he’d have scored himself.

Yep I get what you're saying, but if we have any ambition to go up we need goals now,
 
He made a massive difference yesterday like.

Finally we have players who can genuinely change the game from the bench.

I’d have him starting on Tuesday like. 442 with Rigg/Roberts on the bench.
