Jack Clarke

Had his best game in a town shirt today albeit against pretty poor opposition. Had plenty of time to take as many touches as he wanted today. Don’t get that in a Prem side battling relegation. Broadhead is definitely the better player so far.

Don’t think he’ll go out to you on loan this month but maybe next summer. Would love him to succeed though

You are more likely to need him next season in the Championship surely?

Hes not going to get in their team just because he scored against a team that’s about to go down to league two. Closer to his level than the premier league.

Sheffield United podcaster said Ipswich have made clarke available for a loan. He can’t go out on loan to another clubs he’s already played for two teams this season

Yes. We are doing better off without him. This season we look a better team. Wish fans wouldn't keep going on about Jack fricking Clarke. Get over him man.

He’s gone, analysing things are pointless. The money we got for him allowed us to do other things. You can’t have your cake and eat it.
However because of injuries surely there is no argument that we would be better off if he was still here, he was one of best players in championship.,
You forget he was part of the positive start to this season under a new coach. I doubt he asked to be the only outlet last season.
We would be top of the league if he was still here, but it’s a pointless thought process

they seemingly signed him purely because he was one of the best players in the championship and 'available' rather than the manager having a plan on how to utilise him

not sure I'd take him back if was available like. whilst undoubtedly brilliant for us i feel we're a better rounded team without him. wouldn't really want to go back to the pass it to Jack Clarke and hope for the best show. Mundle must be due back shortly aswell and it would hamper his development when he's also been brilliant

Don’t think the lad stops us conceding daft goals late on, that’s why we aren’t clear at the top not because we sold Clarke. I loved Clarke but the reality is we haven’t missed him. I hope he kicks on at Ipswich after his goal and assist but at the minute it’s looking like a better deal for us.

Was that not more down to the circumstances at the time though? Especially in the period when Roberts was out. We didn't have much else of an outlet other than Clarke.

With Wilson, Roberts, and Mayenda/Rigg - or maybe even Le Fee - buzzing around, it'd be a different story, and perhaps more reminiscent of when we had Clarke, Diallo and Roberts.

I do get your point of us looking a more rounded team though. I think you're right.

Well, we have in a sense since Mundle and Watson's injuries.

The idea we haven't missed him is crazy to me, we've not had a left winger in 6 games to start with. I'd imagine he turns a couple of those draws we had in that run in November into wins as well. November gave us 5 points out of 18, just turning two of those draws into wins would put us top of the table.

Also about conceding daft goals late on, he's fantastic at dribbling the ball up the pitch away from dangerous areas for us. There is more to defence than the defenders. The more inexperienced offensive players we have aren't managing the game well at the death.

true. i just don't like the idea of him taking game time from Mundle given Mundle is ours and Clarke would presumably be a loan. and i think Mundle has a higher ceiling than Clarke given he can seemingly do all the stuff Clarke does (sort of) but then has an electric burst of pace to go with it

is Mundle even back shortly or am i just assuming that wrongly

This was always going to be his biggest issue in the Prem. He got away with it for us loads in the Championship but you can't do it in the Prem at all.
