My rule is, 7% up & you can always start to get a bit going on to see a difference. Usually the majority lower are poor. This is for cans mind. With some exceptions.8%,s all the way..![]()
Guinness from a can is near undrinkable in my eyes. Binned a few cans down the drain earlier this month, it's shite. Not the same drink as on tap. None of the nitro beers translate well at all to can, no matter how well brewed they are, that's why they're so popular on keg.My rule is, 7% up & you can always start to get a bit going on to see a difference. In pubs, keg & cask is different. Cans of Guinness are shite. Love a few pints.
Had a few Guinness in the Grange on Christmas Day. It’s a Sizzling Pubs place, but it was excellent. Had its in a Brewers Fayre on Boxing Day & it was dog shit.Guinness from a can is near undrinkable in my eyes. Binned a few cans down the drain earlier this month, it's shite. No idea, if I was guessing I’d say for that price it’ll have been a 10 or 12 litre keg which (as a percentage) loses loads in the lines so makes the remaining beer mad expensive…we avoid kegs that size for that reason, just can’t make the numbers work.Immensity by PINTA. How much do you think you would charge? Its a lot more than anything I've seen round here before.

Haven’t had that yet, so might pop in & get a few. Where was that? Seaburn or Doxy?Northern monk/Timothy Taylor stout on offer at Mozzas, 8 cans for £10.50, cracking stuff for that price just to hoy a few in the cupboard, stout equivalent of a fridge filler.
Not a fan of peanut as an adjunct at all. Nor a massive fan of Brass Castle, though I'd say, along with Brew York, stouts are their strong point.
Had that on cask a few times. Really enjoyed it. Not expecting the cans to be as good but for the price worth a punt.Northern monk/Timothy Taylor stout on offer at Mozzas, 8 cans for £10.50, cracking stuff for that price just to hoy a few in the cupboard, stout equivalent of a fridge filler.
All depends how it's balanced. Was never a fan of strawberry in stout. Then S43 knocked out an absolute gem.Not a fan of peanut as an adjunct at all. Nor a massive fan of Brass Castle, though I'd say, along with Brew York, stouts are their strong point.
Agreed. Still find many a pub serve it too cold as standard as well.Guinness from a can is near undrinkable in my eyes. Binned a few cans down the drain earlier this month, it's shite.
