Mayenda discussion thread

Was magnificent and what you need from a forward. Took the pressure off that defence at the end and ran the clock down when needed.
I do think some on here are a tad harsh on your own players (tin hat on).
You have some outstanding talent and up against some huge budgets. The lad was at Hibernian of all places last season.

His best performance tonight so fair play to him to come back from some tough moments last few games.

If you watch his goal back he makes sure this time he picks his head up early and gets a good look at the keeper before shooting. This is what young players are all about. Last weeks mistake is this weeks improvement. Over the moon for him

Good game but not consistently good enough right now to be starting in a team pushing for promotion. I don't think he's a natural finisher so will never be a big goalscorer. Unfortunately this goal tonight was probably all the justification the owners need to not spend money buying a proper forward. I predict Mayenda won't score again for weeks.

He had a good game, scored and created the winner. Should of had a couple more though but he's an absolute nightmare for defenders

Getting that goal obviously got him so confidence back. Rights a wrong so to speak. Hope he carries it into the next game as well.

Imagine watching how well he played tonight and predicting he won’t score again for weeks?

Is there something wrong with you?

Reminds me of saka when he first started .....his brain and his body arent always in sync, hes still learning what he capeable of

Where he was played tonight had a lot do with it. He's been 'filling in' wide because of injury. But he's much stronger centrally whether as a 1 or in a 2.
Yeah agree. Even if he was slightly behind Isidor at times tonight, especially in the first half

Criticised him but he was superb today, only negative about today was his movement at times didn't seem the best off the ball but that's maybe nitpicking.
