Wayne Rooney - sacked

I’ve read that it was by mutual consent

Maybe if it was a sacking he would be due compensation but as it’s mutual , he’s walked away and decided to take nothing
That just covers the official statement, which spares his blushes. There's every chance he was told he was going to be given the boot unless he agreed to a "mutual agreement", with a payoff and a nice, official statement.

He started well at derby nearly kept them up after massive point deduction then left stupidly for the MLS
Just gone downhill from there for him
Plymouth was a daft gig to take as they always up against it at this level anyway
More respect for him at least trying to give it a go rather than take easy option loads of them take in punditry

I reckon he should jack in trying management!
He can rattle Colleen daily, play football with his 4 sons, play golf whilst they're at school & do a couple of Sky appearances every month. Canny life 👍

Rooney has agreed to forsake any compensation he's due to after his sacking apparently.
Brilliant gesture if true

Only chance he has now is league 1 or 2 or MLS. Been an abysmal coach so far in his career, don't think managing is for him.

Suppose if he keeps at it it only takes it to click at one club and he can begin to repair an absolutely tarnished managerial reputation.
