Poveda

I raise you a Milton Nunez. Peter Reid was watching TWO of the wrong fellers on VHS tapes, Nunez's teammate at PAOK (Adolfo Valencia), and his Honduran international teammate (Eduardo Bennett), and thought they were the same person: "a Honduran international playing for PAOK". And so we managed to sign the only Honduran international playing for PAOK, the 5 foot 5 inch Milton Nunez, for £1.4m plus £1m in bonuses.
No way was he 5’ 5”

He's going to sit on his arse and milk it for the next 3 yr unless the club pay him off.
Him and his agent must have been pissing themselves when turning up, fat, injured, and uninterested to sign the contract.

Someone at the club needs a bucket of cold piss over their heads for letting that deal go through.

Check his wiki page for appearances most supporters from each club he has been at have mentioned he is a sick note hats off to the recruitment team for another gem basically cheap player nobody would touch and another player through the door at the time to keep everyone happy
Been told he is good at wallpapering he can give me gand sorting the frontroom and bedroom out . If he sprains his wrist pasting club will have to deal with it

One thing we've generally done well under Speakman is sign the right character of players, some might not have been good enough but most have given their all, there's not too many who can't be arsed or have stinking attitudes. Even Aouchiche who until recently has been frozen out has put shifts in for the u21's & worked hard in training to get back in favour.
Poveda though has shown no desire to get himself fit, went through the motions for the u21's earlier in the season when he played & when he came on at Watford I would have honestly hauled him back off he was that lazy. Then somehow got injured against derby after doing literally naff all.
Tell you what I know he hasn't had too many opportunities but Connolly has been utterly pathetic in his recent Substitute appearances too, we really needed him to take the pressure off & defend from the front against Stoke but he trudged about at walking pace. I get the feeling he's feeling a bit sorry for himself with the way things have gone here but trudging around looking uninterested isn't going to change RLB's mind.
I'd happily see them both go in January but lord knows who'd take them. Whereas Aouchiche has at the very least put himself in the shop window.

Hmmmm. The”business” of football is a lot more complicated than that.
Ok. Explain to me why we'd sign a player and not hope he'd have a positive impact then please. I can't really see the logic in signing players, paying them wages and not hoping for a positive impact on the pitch, to our bank balance or both.

Was more than worth a punt on a 12-18 month deal. A 3+1 seemed daft at the time but now its looks ludicrous.
