Poveda

Of course it does. It limits the possible options from the bench and the rotation of the squad. Poveda and Samed not being available or good alternatives has already cost us this season and will continue to do so - we lack good viable options in midfield and wide areas.

Poveda won't play any part in this season, nor has he so far. It felt like a subtle dig at Speakman and the club to be honest.

He hasn't been a miss and I can't imagine he will have made any impact whatsoever.

Ricky Alvarez will always win.

We didn’t really buy him. But we’re told we had. But couldn’t sell him or play him

I raise you a Milton Nunez. Peter Reid was watching TWO of the wrong fellers on VHS tapes, Nunez's teammate at PAOK (Adolfo Valencia), and his Honduran international teammate (Eduardo Bennett), and thought they were the same person: "a Honduran international playing for PAOK". And so we managed to sign the only Honduran international playing for PAOK, the 5 foot 5 inch Milton Nunez, for £1.4m plus £1m in bonuses.

We aren't paying for Samed . If we were paying for him there would have to be a a buy clause at the end of it . Its a deal between 2 friends that suits both clubs
Its a put up Job . His French team know he wont play so they're cracking on their fans they've played a blinder in loaning him , meanwhile KLD ( Speakman) gets to string us along with the " look what we got you, just so unlucky " while paying nowt.
French old pals act. Get the window out if the way so we cant send him back and we'll get the " out for the season " news

Absolutely. The most incredible shit show of a transfer and incompetent in house legal work you’ll witness anywhere.

I don't understand this post. Why do you think he wouldn't have made any impact? We clearly signed him hoping that he would.

And him not being available certainly has had an impact as it has limited our options and resulted in us having to do things like play Mayenda out of position.

Wait and see .While the French bit might be a bit over the top our end of the bargain , a loan we know wont play but shows theoretical intent wouldnt surprise me in the least

Sorry ,just not buying into any theories that suggest the ownership group don’t actually want to succeed.
Whether they do or whether they go the right way about it are different questions.

im not saying they don't want to succeed, im saying they want the fans off their back while they try to do it on the cheap

Think the other 2 would have been equally crap signings.

Nunez career looks comparable to both of them after that point.

Nunez at least played for the international side for another 8 years.

He probably won't and it was a gamble. But it leaves us without a credible right sided option when Roberts is injured or out of form, so yes it absolutely has cost us.

The difference between draws, defeats and challenging for the top two is in the small margins like that and not having players like Samed contributing.
