I'll give you a third option, giving them ridiculously long term contract, at least we're only paying Samed to sit on his arse for a year

They may go on to be world beaters but we've spent wages and squad places on players that have had zero impact up until the half way mark and the only one who has a chance is arguably Samed and that seems like a stretch.
