He had a really good game yesterday
. Both him and Roberts on the wings caused all sorts of problems for Blackburns defence in the second half.

Of course he will be defined on the one on one chance, but only by absolute morons who will say he's now shite. Really felt for him at FT. He was absolutely devastated but from what I could see the vast majority of the away end were in support of him at FT.

I didn’t see him have a good game at all, nothing came off for him. Gave possession away a few times, miss controlled it a few times, ran into his marker a few times, the one other chance I remember him having he shot straight at the keeper. Apart from that I suppose you could say he had a canny game I suppose.

Clearly still a way to go (the lad's 19 man) but I think he's come on a tonne this season. If he continues to develop at the same rate next season, and I appreciate there's no guarantee of that, then he'll have a very good career in the game

I hope you’re right. He’s being played out of position, albeit out of necessity, and IMO he’s exposed. His confidence will get hammered and there’s a danger that any potential will be eroded. I’d rest him to the bench and use him as a swap for Isidor for now.

All i remember is cameos where he got 5 minutes off the bench and no one can do owt with that
I think he's been a handful down the left since he has seen more game time . He's probably our strongest player on the ball
maybe rotate him but 5 minutes here and there are no good

Whole team was poor first half so why single him out?

He is young and being played all over LW, RW, CF. He is an outlet and has pace and is unpredictable which scares the shite out of defenders

I do think he is better on RW or CF than he is on the left

But his first touch is suspect and obviously his decision making reveals his age.

There's nothing to suggest he won't be a successful footballer and striker.

The frustration for us is that we are going for promotion and he is not good enough on the left wing for us now.

That's not his fault as a young lad. That's the clubs issue to sort out.

Players develop at different rates. Mepham hadn’t played a professional match at that age

Ridiculous the comments I’ve seen over the last 24 hours. Calling him shite , useless etc.
Was obviously poor when he went 1 on 1 but the lad defo has talent.

Always forward thinking. Brave when he gets the ball and tries to make something happen every time.

Felt really sorry for him at full time. Was scared to even come over to the Sunderland fans. Thought he had a good game overall.

Jobe isn’t playing out of position- Mayenda has progressed rapidly over the last couple of months and has shown he has more pace and power than anyone else in the squad. It’s madness for you to have written him off imho
