Cricketing Christmas Pressies

I got the England T20 and Test shirts, Jimmy’s book, some batting gloves and a few new balls ready for when the real stuff starts in May.

Not so much Xmas but treated myself to a new pair of adidas spikes on Black Friday. My old asics were on their last legs.

Has anyone started the Anderson book yet? I’m about 30 pages in and it’s not grabbed me so far. It just doesn’t sound like Jimmy. It sounds like the ghostwriter.

Not started it yet, you sound like me with books, if they don’t draw me in after a couple or three chapters then they get shelved.

I got a new white cricket jumper and wide brimmed hat

They will both be on display sometime in the summer at a T20

My old wide brim hat has about ten summers of sweat engrained and the Mrs is disgusted by it

I'd imagine autobiographies of current English cricketers would be a bit boring now. Stokes apart, they have all lived respectable lives.

Not like Botham, Gower, Flintoff etc.
