Craft Beer

Had my first bottle last night. Would love to try it on cask. Think the only two pubs I’m getting to today are the Grange for tea & the Fire Station for the Futureheads. That might be it pub wise until New Years Day apart from an hour in the Grange on Christmas Day. Good drink will be limited to my own stash.
Isis before the match. Range is a bit disappointing. Another on the way over, can’t decide where yet, and the bridge on way home.

Ideally 3 points too

Opened another Export just there before walking to the ground. Hoyed a Cuzzy in the fridge for full time at home before heading back out.

A bit out of the way, but the Ivy is the only place I’ve seen anyone get any proper big stouts on on keg.

Been raiding the garage fridge. 2yr old this I think. Bought shitloads for 50p a pop in the new year.

Not sure if this is right for the thread, but there is a small brewery right near where I used to work called Hogsback, and a few years back I went through an ale faze, and nothing even got close to one they produced. I rarely ever drink, but ive treated myself to a couple of bottles of it for Christmas

Clunys drink options relatively poor today. Settled for Hickey the Rake and an Almasty session. Couple of beautiful boozy stouts in the Free trade trade. Currently in Kilm. Nice Donzoko offering going down nicely. Also picked up a couple of cans from the new convenient store (Wylam Imperial Machiato stout and imperial Jakehead).

If that’s your thing mate, you enjoy it. Never had the pleasure myself.

That Machiato stout is great like. Think I’ve had the mid & proper full version

I like the image of you finding random beer stashes about the place

Bit disappointed to hear the Isis line up being below par.

Got both of those Wylams ordered, had massive FOMO, I'll collect in the New Year. The Impy Macchiato is a BA version so should be good.

BHV absolutely rammed pre match. Served no bother, main issue finding a bit room.

What was the damage may I ask? Not much change from 20 notes in the shop.

BHV is great. My only negative is a tad cold. Suppose that'll not be an issue if rammed.

@James
and Manchester mob…

It’s very very nice.

@dangermows the sidepour is responsible for the massive heed on the beer. Talking to the bloke behind the bar, very ver passionate about the way it works.

Probably the nicest lager I’ve had in the uk.
Good stuff. Planning to go between Christmas and new year, looking forward to it.

I’ve been walking past the bottle of Vaux stout everyday and managed not to open it. Saving it for Christmas Day :)

Oooh very nice and interesting (often see people commenting negatively about big heads). Sonoma cask on fresh today at Blues. Bloody delicious as always.
