Keel Crossing [opened 18.10.25] - compendium thread

Ive never noticed graffiti on the bridges in the past. That one on the QA bridge that says "hep ustop them" is a recent thing as a result of riots all over the country and refers to the boats

I would build another 3 ... St Peters to Hendon (as you have mentioned), Deptford to SSOL and a low level bridge below the one currently being built .... I love bridges, me !
I have to admit I was sorely disappointed when I found out the new one was not from Deptford. I'd have taken one starting from across the road from ISIS and Vaults to near the SWC as a compromise.

Northern Spire is terrible at moment, obviously not the pylon but underneath, there was a local historical restoration contractor on QA bridge last week removing graffiti from the SW arch and stone parapet

How is the build progressing?
from the pictures ive seen recently it looks like the mid section is now independently structurally sound and welded in place. The temporary support section on the north side has gone (i think) and the strand jack winches have (currently) been removed. I expect all the services will be ready to start been fitted out in the new year if they can then start walking over it

Some decent photos in todays post by Riverside Sunderland.
Shows the bridge now freestanding with only the scaffold to remove from the 2 piers.
