New Zealand v England 3rd test Hamilton

First bad of the series really, would have more than settled for just one bad day at this point in the series before the start as would most have if we all honest.

Especially if that bad day was after the series was won!

That said as bad days goes could have not gone much worse and test looks now gone so disappointing.

But looking at the bigger picture can’t think of anyone who would not have been happy with a 2-1 series victory especially taken into account the respective results each side have had in the test series there both had before this one?

I’m getting a bit concerned with Stokes’ captaincy lately. Pakistan was poor but he’d been out injured for a few months and was dealing with his home being burgled so can understand why his brain was a bit scrambled there.

But that first hour or so last night was absolute dog shit from him.

I still.dont understand why Carse, or even Bashir didn't get a bowl in that first session. Atkinson and Potts weren't getting anywhere but Stokes still stuck with them instead of mixing it up a bit. Try something different.

I read an article last week saying that all the betting adverts weren't to get people to place bets but to promote brand awareness. If that's the case then they are succeeding.

PS Are we going to beat Weed today :D
I've got a good feeling, but that may just be the early morning sambucas

The "tactics" when we were bowling last night were an embarrassment. If that was Root or Cook, they'd have been absolutely coated

They do seem a big stubborn with them tactics, as you know I love their overall approach, however the way they keep persisting with the tactics to tail enders is mystifying at times

It's not just about winning the series now, there are WTC points riding on every game.

I'm very happy with beating NZ 2-1 but unhappy losing 2-1 to a bang average Pakistan side just before.

It is still a very good win, to win a series against a very good New Zealand side.

I think we struggle against spin in alien conditions, it was the only way Pakistan could of beat us was to produce them wickets in them final two test matches where spinners were opening the bowling.

We simply having got the quality of spinners ourselves to compete when it’s like that.

Pakistan are a average side I agree but when it becomes a spinner contest they better

Watched the first session and everything was going steady.

I certainly didn't expect to wake up to this. We'll probably end up needing 450-500.
Only way to beat a test record chase is to blow up in the first 3 innings...
Another inexplicable batting collapse.

It’s like they can’t be arsed because the series is won.
It's been a trend all year

Any away series win is good, win the first 3 Ashes tests then lose the next 2 works for me
It was a wrong decision at the toss as well
Felt like he knew it pretty early on and spent the rest of the innings trying to hard to make up for it

Seems like the players are content to win 2-1 and will have one eye on flying home for Christmas. Bit shit for the fans who have travelled like although NZ did bowl well.

The first two tests papered over the fact the Kiwis are actually a world class side.

We just haven't turned up, and got steam rollered.

Watch us chase 500 or something 4th innings now.
