New Zealand v England 3rd test Hamilton

This is really poor. They’ve bowled well but we’ve batted like complete arses
Should have batted yesterday, barring something special in the 2nd half of this match, we are on for an absolute hammering
It’d be interesting to see what would have happened if they’d dumped Southee before the series started, he’s been carried
Southee should have been dropped last test at the very least, strong argument that he should still have been dropped here....think they could have made it easier and just announced him playing here and not picked him for the first 2 tests.
Begs the question why Bashir didn't bowl a ball...
On the plus side, those 116 runs the last 3 wickets put on might not make a difference

If Bashir can’t bat, and they don’t bowl him in almost 100 overs then it’s a pick that doesn’t work.

Lyon bowls well in first innings. Others bat 8 and add useful runs on largely seamers tracks

You can’t offer neither. And I say this as someone who thinks he’s talented

Completely agree on all fronts.
It's why I'd have picked Ahmed for this test.
Ball has definitely done more today but this has a last innings of tour vibe theyve just brought it forward by a few days.
We're going to be following on here, lads waking up in 2 hours better be careful when they see root and Brook batting
Just bowl spin against our boys, flat spin, no spin, leg spin, side spin, pies...it doesn't matter our boys are cooked from India still

Wonder if we will have to follow on
100 % in these conditions.
Side note - one of the podcasts mentioned that out of the 9 wins and 7 defeats (looking like 8) this year, Woakes is set to have played in 8 of the wins and 1 of the defeats
9-5 that is some collapse like

Thats Babzball for you, if your gonna be shit be Spectacularly shit
From BBCSport Live Feed
So England today, 143 all out in 35.4 overs, including a collapse of six wickets for 88 runs.

In other final Tests of a series this year. 195 all out in second innings against India in Dharamsala, including collapse of 5-49 (after 7-83 in first innings). 156 all out in 34 overs in second innings against Sri Lanka at The Oval, including collapse of 7-62 (after 6-64 in first innings). 112 all out in 37.2 overs against Pakistan in Rawalpindi, an entire collapse of 10-97 (after 6-62 in the first innings).

However England try to explain it, there is a pattern.

Would love us still have a sniff of a chance by getting set a target under 500 with nearly 3 days left, effectively having a 3rd innings on a day 3 pitch...is it crazy that I actually believe we'd have a 10-15% chance to do it.

You're not missing much.

Also that William Hill advert with Eric f***ing C*ntona is even worse than the Ladbrookes advert. Horrific

I read an article last week saying that all the betting adverts weren't to get people to place bets but to promote brand awareness. If that's the case then they are succeeding.

PS Are we going to beat Weed today :D

Watched the first session and everything was going steady.

I certainly didn't expect to wake up to this. We'll probably end up needing 450-500.
