This is what drives me nuts with this set up. They preach about speeding up Test cricket, playing it on fast forward and being flexible... yet when we're bowling, we stick rigidly to plans and set some f***ing defensive fields.Start of the morning, brand new ball, lower order batter (Santner is hardly a no.3), and yet 7 men out on the boundary with no slips or close catchers.
I don't understand, can someone please explain?
And before someone starts I'm not on a wind up, I'm just genuinely baffled by such a negative field set up.
