New Zealand v England 3rd test Hamilton

how many has Stokes bowled in a row? It’s great he’s fit, and he’s looking lively, but these long spells when he’s not had much bowling aren’t smart surely.

Pope looks very decent behind the stumps mind
5 months till another test and most likely another 1st class appearance, plus he probably thinks he should have batted.

I've not seen much of of Pope with the seamers to suggest otherwise, but I do think he lacks a bit of nous when Bashir is bowling from lack of experience with keeping to spinners....I much prefer him at 6, and Smith higher

I’ve not seen any of the contest so far but it’s annoying how they were 231/7 and are still batting with 315 on the board. On the BBC Sports website it says we’ve spent most of the evening session bowling bouncers at the tail again. It drives me nuts.

I watched the last hour, just after they lost the 7th wicket and it was so frustrating, especially as they were leaving the field to give Santner singles, basically gave up on trying to get him out other than caught in the deep on the pull.

I watched until tea. I thought we were not as pressing as much as we have done. Too wayward early on but we got that under control. On we go.

Start of the morning, brand new ball, lower order batter (Santner is hardly a no.3), and yet 7 men out on the boundary with no slips or close catchers.

I don't understand, can someone please explain?

And before someone starts I'm not on a wind up, I'm just genuinely baffled by such a negative field set up.
