Becoming a dad

How old are you mate
Are you a home bird or party boy ?
Normal job ,day shift lol
You and your missus solid 10/10 ?
Oh and congratulations

34

I go out on a Saturday for a pub quiz and a Monday for darts. I wouldn’t say party boy.

8-4, Monday to Friday, WFH 4 days a week

6.5 and she ups my social standing a bit, there are some on here who can attest.

Thanks buddy

You’ll never be ready. You’ll never be prepared.

Just crack on when they arrive. You’ll figure it out as you go along like we all do. You seem like a good lad so I’m sure you’ll be a cracking dad.

First six weeks are tough due to lack of sleep but then it will begin to get sorted. And then it’ll fly over so make the most of it.

Make sure when it's born it gets used to sleeping at different people's houses
(Preferably relatives) so you get no grief when you and youer lass want to go out

My parents live 5 minutes away and her mam is retired so I imagine she’ll be close a lot so I think this is very achievable.

We’ll see what my mam and dad are like when he’s born but they seem keen at present. First grandchild and that

First one due in early May.

Any advice?

Currently flitting between joy and crippling fear and have been the last few months.

Piss takes are welcome, feel free.
Congrats mate. Just think when he/she's older you'll be able to tell them about the time you disagreed with someone on the internet so agreed to meet up to thrash it out with them there. Still makes me chuckle that. 😂😂

Congrats, its a doddle, with the internet and youtube etc kids pretty raise themselves these days

The internet thing scares me. Not gonna lie.

How’s he going to learn how to build a tree fort (stick a pallet up a tree and sit on it) or conkers or how to do knock and run?

Is YouTube going to teach him that? I think not…
