Tommy Watson ( ...off to Brighton)

Ankle and knee injury. Have they said what exactly as there's a lot of muscles/ ligaments / bones in and between the 2 areas?!

I was watching him on the sideline, took a couple of steps with the physio but couldn't push off. Was also getting both legs looked at so fuck knows. Knowing our luck he'll miss the season.

Medial ligament. Did mine years ago when challenging a keeper and knee twisted after impact which stretched/ tore it.

Aouchiche to fill in.
Roberts could switch to the left.
Rigg, Alese or Cirken could play there.

It's obviously not ideal.
We have a lot more options than most teams tbh.

Cirkin is the man for left wing. Massive goal scoring threat too. Imagine wipping a ball in from the right to the far post and Cirkin running in to head it.

In Isidor's own words he said he was a left-winger, he played for the U21's and the first team as a left winger and he was bought and brought in as a left winger.
Aaron has played 9 scored 1 - using your logic that kind of doesn't back it up.

And please desist with the childish ha-ha's.
5 of them 9 appearances were less than 15 minutes long, and another 2 were less than half an hour. It's a little bit misleading.

It doesn't change our left wing injuries. Their age has nothing to do with it and we didn't sign an injured left winger. In fact, we started the season with three dedicated left winger s. You would have to Have been using your Crystal ball to predict this situation arising after 20 games. We still have left sided attacking players as options.
Le Briss mentioned he’s not keen on moving Wilson onto the left which leaves us with no dedicated LW options. Watson has been playing in u21’s and moved into first team because of losing Clarke and mundle’s injury. So you thought we’d go through without the potential for an injury to mundle who wasn’t playing first team football week in week out until Clarke was sold? I’d say that was naive. We brought Connolly in on a free and it was put out to the press we’d bid for cannon when we just won’t compete when paying for a CF

For a team in the Championship how many left wingers can you realistically have? How many players fighting for one spot can any team really have and also be financially responsible? Mundle, Watson are both out and out lefties and we have other options of players who can play in that position even if not their preferred. If we have two injuries in the same position then we have to adjust as any club in the league would have to.

Two exprienced left wingers would'nt hurt. It's not ideal to fit players into positions they don't usually play in.

No he didn’t he said he was a striker who can play out wide. Why are people still arguing this out.

Agree we have options and better than most, I’m not sure where this we have any luck with injury comes from.

If we had a fully fit squad there would only be 1 player out that would get in the side, for me that would be Watson others would say mundle, other than that we are full strength.

Problem lies with then back ups, there either having injury issues when we signed them and unfortunately this is part of our strategy, or just not good enough to perform at the levels needed for top end championship.

we need to strengthen the squad in January with players capable of stepping in when needed

Agreed. We started the season with Clarke, mundle and Watson in the squad which is mad to think now. We didn't know how good 2 of them were, but I'm sure the club had an idea that when Clarke went, we had adequate back up and had more important positions to strengthen. Plus Wilson who can also play there.
