stewart was a winger up there....shankland has had some good seasons at scottish prem level and some shit ones...

I’ve just never thought he was worth the money quoted or that he’s that good. I think he’d fare a bit better than some moving south but doubt he’d ever be more than a ten or twelve goal striker in this league at a stretch. That’s not bad, just not great.

so shankland has very little experience or being proven at scots pre level then as a striker? what about when he was at dundee united in the scots prem and didnt score many?

Really yet he keeps people scoring more out the Scotland squad such as Ryan Hardie at Plymouth?Also that is around what most get in championship and make a career from it and go too club to club

Dundee United had just come up and his goals took him up he done enough too move too a much better league and a team playing competivly in European competition something he needs too have a better chance off being selected for Scotland something he wouldn't get in the championship with anybody

Yeah, he’s not shite but he’s been valued at fees massively above how I rate him. To replace Maja he was worth a punt at a million quid or so ahead of Grigg, Ladapo and a few were linked with. Now I think he’s probably on the decline and I wouldn’t really want him.

Either he is on the decline or is getting poorly coached by a team that goes through different managers almost as much as Sunderland?

29 and avaliable on a PCA in January and is at his peak age for me is still worth a punt strikers are confidence players and need the service he isn't getting it at Hearts this year after breaking records with them

Also don't forget he is also a leader every team needs players who have good leadership qualities

Idk the money quoted but while 12 goals as the only striker wouldn't be great its be good alongside isidor et al now

Isn't any money quoted he is free too talk too other teams in January about a PCA absolutely no way he will stay at Hearts he had a Saudi team interested but he has never chased the money and doubt he would go there and be away from his kid cos can't see him taking the family over

Shankland isn't shit he is a very cleaver footballer that has improved lots off his game like holding it up and linking it up that is why he has been trusted by Clarke too play up front on his own and he is better at doing that say for instance young Conway at Boro

Carlton Morris got 8 goals in 32 games up here at Hamilton didn't his goals win Luton the league okay I'll take into account he was younger but still he hardly set the heather alight up here did he?

Ross McCormack was another couldn't get in the Rangers team unless there was suspension or injuries

But somehow you think that Lawrence Shankland couldn't come down and do the same with the right team?
